²⁹ Peter and the other apostles replied, “We must obey God rather than men. ³⁰ The God of our ancestors raised up Jesus after you had put him to death by hanging him on a tree. ³¹ God exalted him at his right hand as leader and Savior so that he might grant repentance and forgiveness of sins to Israel.
